IDPA Mastery + Match Coaching (Sat+Sun)

Class Description

Mekkos "Memphis" Beech is a nationally recognized instructor, an IDPA Master, Chief Safety Officer (CSO), and former match director of several clubs. Attendees of this class will shoot the local IDPA Match on Saturday May 3, 2025. We will make up our own squad and Mekkos will coach the shooters throughout the match. The class will then commence at 1:00pm after the match on Saturday, and will continue thru Sunday. We will improve the skills as exhibited in your match performance. This class will cover skills needed to advance up the IDPA ranks and to win matches, including... • Safety Items (including Avoiding DQs) • Shooting Fundamentals (Grip/Stance Platform, Sights & Trigger) • Stage Planning • Mental Management (including how not to forget your stage plans) • Movement Mechanics Gear List: • Eye and ear protection • A safe & reliable handgun * • A holster for your handgun * • Three magazines minimum * • Two magazine pouches minimum * • Concealment garment • Note taking materials • 200 rounds of ammunition for the class • 150 rounds of ammunition for the match * It is helpful that all gear be IDPA-legal. If you are unsure or do not have any IDPA-specific gear, you may still join and participate in the class. Your participation in the match will be at the discretion of the Match Director.
